This week we learned about different site hosting options for our online businesses. Lots of bloggers/online business owners love to use Wordpress.org for their websites - they offer lots of variations and customizations - but you have to know how to code, just a little bit. I've tried using Wordpress for years, and all it did was leave me frustrated. I don't know how to code, or really how to use it, so I needed an easier option.
I've been using WIX for a website for several years now, and I love how easy it is to set up and get going. I've used it to create several sites over the past 6 years, and each time it's easier and easier to use. Not only because they keep upgrading the platform, but also because I'm more familiar with it.
Being able to get a blog or website up and running within just one day has been such an improvement from trying to use Wordpress and taking days or weeks trying to get it set up right. I also love that WIX offers so much support through their platform. No need to buy a bunch of different apps to gather email addresses, collect payments, send out emails to subscribers, run google ads... It's all incorporated into WIX.
